This blog has mainly been about everything that interests me, usually evolving around geekism (HP, FF and general gaming) and my idealistic views. As of now, I will change the main focus so that it will primarily evolve around environmental issues - idealistic thoughts, practical tips etc. The pages consisting my other interests will still be available, though, only not prioritized.

Previously, I wrote about FFP – Final Fantasy Project, the Final Fantasy-site I’m helping out. On this project, we have also started an online role playing game called Sin’s Dawn. The orpg takes place in Spira – the world of Final Fantasy X – just after the machina war between Bevelle and Zanarkand, at the birth of Sin. The Yevon religion has not yet been formed, and I believe this is a truly interesting period of time in the history of Spira. We get to join the world as it’s forming into the place we know from the game. Les hele dette innlegget »

Last week, I wanted to buy myself a nice PS2-game. I did not have any particular game in mind, but I was looking for something in the medieval RPG-genre. As much as I have heard of and read about those games, I haven’t really played them myself.
So I came across Baldur’s Gate – Dark Alliance II.
I knew nothing about the game, except that I had vaguely heard about Baldur’s Gate before. When I started playing the game - after a few minutes with frustrating battles, trying to get to know the controllers and the battle system – I was in for a positive surprise. Les hele dette innlegget »

Lately, I’ve been so preoccupied with the game FF-X - writing about it, reading about it and playing it - that I haven’t really focused on any other games. But yesterday I finally finished the first disc of FF VIII!
This game was released in Europe on PlayStation September 2000. The game came on four discs. This space was needed mainly due to the demanding graphics.
The story is mainly about Squall, a cynical and quiet young man who has just graduated at Balamb Garden - a school which educates skilled mercenaries. The story follows him and other students as they try to stop wars and save the world as they know it. Of course, as in most Final Fantasy games, love is also an important theme. I have just recently discovered and downloaded the program GIMPShop. GIMP is a photoediting program similar to PhotoShop, but the menues and commands have different names. GIMPShop is a version of GIMP, made to look and feel like PhotoShop. Being a total newbie with no experience whatsoever regarding photoediting, I have started experimenting with GIMP, just learning what the various menues and options do. Les hele dette innlegget »
