Tamaskan Dog
I’ve had a great interest in dogs and dog breeds for as long as I can remember, and it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to one day own a German Shepherd. Now, in addition, I have discovered a new breed. I actually discovered it today, and I fell in love with it instantly.
The Tamaskan Dog is a newly invented dog breed that originated in Finland. They bred sled dogs imported from USA, and later mixed them with German Shepherds, Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky. The goal was to create a working dog that closely resembles a wolf, without using wolf ancestry. According to the pictures on their website, I would say they have achieved their goal!
As this breed originates from sled dogs they are most certainly a demanding and social breed, but the fact that they are bred purely from dogs makes them very attractive to me. Several years from now, when my dearest and I have settled down, I would love to own a Tamaskan Dog!

Err.. or at least I believe that is the japanese way of saying “Isn’t that a cute puppy!!!”. hmm.. maybe I should have written “Inu” instead of “wanko”. Oh, well. Every dog is a puppy before it turns adult, so it is fitting in one way, and I don’t really know how old the dogs pictured are…
