Final Fantasy VIII
Lately, I’ve been so preoccupied with the game FF-X - writing about it, reading about it and playing it - that I haven’t really focused on any other games. But yesterday I finally finished the first disc of FF VIII!
This game was released in Europe on PlayStation September 2000. The game came on four discs. This space was needed mainly due to the demanding graphics.
The story is mainly about Squall, a cynical and quiet young man who has just graduated at Balamb Garden - a school which educates skilled mercenaries. The story follows him and other students as they try to stop wars and save the world as they know it. Of course, as in most Final Fantasy games, love is also an important theme.
Today, the graphics are outdated, but that is not too important when it comes to deciding if a game is good or not. It took me a while to understand the battle system (I still haven’t grasped it completely!), but I am finally getting a hang of it.
FF VII is supposed to be one of the better games in the series, but I prefer this one. The story, tasks and battles are really fund, and I find that the music really gives the game a great and living atmosphere.

Hey! found your page at random search, I played FFVIII ages ago and loved it, I had great time playing it but it took me a year to finish the game (basically because it belongs to my nephew and I played only on weekends every now and then). It has fun misteries and surprises ahead
Have fun!
greetings from the south of the world.
Thanks for leaving a message at my blog!
Yes, I really like this game, although I’m only halfway through it myself. Been caught up in the newly-released FF XII at the moment, but I will surely finish this game soon.
ahhh FF XII, excellent graphics too! haven’t played it yet, though
